Vidro

Cookie Policy

Effective date: April 26, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information. Cookies may be set by the site you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by third-party services operating on that site (third-party cookies).

2. Cookies We Use

Vidro uses a minimal set of cookies, categorised as follows:

Strictly NecessaryRequired

These cookies are essential to operate the Service. Without them, you cannot log in, maintain your session, or access your account. They cannot be disabled.

  • __session — Firebase Authentication session token (HTTP-only, secure).
  • CSRF tokens — protect your account from cross-site request forgery attacks.
Analytics (Optional)Optional

We may use privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns — which features are used most, page load performance, and error rates. These cookies do not identify you personally.

  • Google Analytics measurement cookies (_ga, _gid) — only set if Google Analytics is enabled and you have not opted out.
PreferenceOptional

These cookies remember your settings so you do not have to reconfigure them on each visit.

  • Theme preference (dark/light mode) stored in localStorage, not a cookie.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some functionality on Vidro is powered by third-party services that may set their own cookies:

  • Google / Firebase — Authentication and hosting infrastructure. Subject to Google's cookie policy.
  • Dodo Payments — Payment processing. Any cookies set during checkout are governed by Dodo's privacy and cookie policies.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioural tracking cookies.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually.
  • Block third-party cookies entirely.
  • Block cookies from specific websites.
  • Block all cookies (note: this will break the login functionality).

Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions on how to manage cookies. Common links:

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, Vidro uses browser localStorage to store application state (e.g., your dark/light mode preference, editor session data). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear localStorage at any time via your browser's developer tools or site settings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as the Service evolves or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above.
